Music

Do you enjoy attending recitals, symphony concerts or musicals?
Does the sound of instruments playing or voices singing in harmony stir a passion within you?

If you answered yes, then MUSIC might be the major for you!

McKendree’s music program is designed for qualified students who wish to complete a concentrated study of music within a liberal arts curriculum. Students who pursue a bachelor’s degree in this field will also receive a solid background for graduate study not only in music, but in related fields in the arts and humanities.

As a music major, you will be prepared to engage the world as a skillful and thoughtful musician. McKendree’s music programs will provide you with solid training from outstanding faculty in a state of-the art performing arts center. You’ll benefit from extensive performance opportunities such as senior recitals, master classes, and ensemble performances.
