Checklist for Becoming a McKendree Student

√
Visit Campus. Visiting a college campus is often times the best way to determine if a school is the right fit. We recommend students and families visit campus as early as they like but especially during the junior and senior years. Register to attend a Preview Day or contact your admission counselor to set up an individual visit.

√
Apply. Your student will need to complete and submit a free, on-line application or submit a paper copy with a $40 non-refundable application fee. They will also need to submit the following:

Submit an official high school or GED transcript

Submit official ACT or SAT scores if not posted on the official high school transcript

Submit official copies of transcripts for all post-secondary institutions attended

Download the counselor recommendation form and have the high school guidance counselor complete and return it to us (first-year students only)

We will not begin making admission decisions until September 15 of your student’s senior year.

Determine academic scholarship eligibility and attend event in February for first-year students. Find out more about transfer scholarship opportunities.
