How to Use the Laundry Machines

  3. Close the washer door securely.
  4. Choose your payment method:
      • CSC GO app: Open the app, scan the QR code, and select cycle settings
      • Coins (except McK West): Insert quarters and select cycle settings
  5. Start the cycle and return when finished.

Simple Dry

  1. Clean the lint screen before starting a new load.
  2. Load clothes (ensure they can tumble freely). - When the drum is about half full of fabrics, this is a medium or regular-sized load
  3. Select the appropriate drying setting (low, medium, high).
  4. Choose your payment method:
      • CSC GO app: Scan the QR code and select cycle settings.  Need more time in the dryer? Use the CSC GO app to add extra minutes for an additional charge.
      • Coins (except McK West): Insert quarters and select cycle settings
  5. Start the dryer and return when finished.

Laundry Best Practices

  • Tips N' Tricks: Little life hacks for achieving the best possible results.
  • Do not overload the machines. Clothes need space to move for effective washing and drying.  The drum should not exceed about 3/4 full of fabrics, and 1/2 full is suggested for best results.
  • One washer load = one dryer load. Overstuffing dryers can prevent clothes from drying completely.
  • Use only 2 tablespoons of HE detergent, a laundry sheet, or 1 laundry pod. Using too much soap can leave residue on clothes.  If you are using a laundry sheet or pod, add these to the machine before you add your clothes, so that they get wet and fully disolve.
  • Check pockets before washing. Items like pens, keys, or tissues can ruin clothes and damage machines.
  • Use the cold water setting whenever possible to save energy.
