Transfer Resources

McKendree University recognizes the academic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To support the enrollment of transfer students to McKendree, we will accept transfer courses taken during the spring, summer, and fall 2020 terms as follows:

  1. Award credits for transfer courses that have grades of P/Pass or CR/Credit;

  2. Allow transfer courses with grades of P/Pass or CR/Credit to fulfill general education or major requirements;

    All other transfer policy guidelines will be followed.

    McKendree University is transfer friendly whether you plan to attend the Lebanon campus or a program within online and graduate programs.  You can transfer up to 90 hours in credits earned with a regionally accredited institution.  Transfer counselors and student support specialists are available to assist you with the transfer process.

Transferring to McKendree University

A student transferring to McKendree who has received an associate's or a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, is considered to have met all general education requirements, provided the prior degree is not considered vocational or a skilled trade. "Vocational" or "skilled trade" refers to programs that generally do not require a four-year degree and are in disciplines not offered as majors at McKendree University (e.g., welding, auto mechanics, cosmetology). Coursework from vocational or skilled trade degrees will be evaluated for transfer credit on a course-by-course basis.

Students who have met the Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI) general education core curriculum (GECC) will also be considered to have met all general education requirements.
