McKendree SGA Executives

Meet the members for 2025–2026

At McKendree University, the Student Government Association (SGA) comprises two main components: the Executive Board and the Senate. While each has distinct roles and responsibilities, they collectively form the Student Government Association (SGA), serving as the unified body representing the undergraduate student population.

Executive Board: The Executive Board includes positions such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, and Public Relations Officer. These officers are responsible for the administration and operation of the SGA, overseeing committees, managing finances, and representing the student body to the university administration and external entities.

Senate: The Senate consists of elected representatives from each undergraduate class, commuter students, international students, and non-traditional students. Senators are tasked with voicing the concerns of their constituents, participating in committees, and contributing to the legislative functions of the SGA.

Together, the Executive Board and the Senate collaborate to enact policies, allocate funds, and organize events that enhance the student experience at McKendree University. This collaborative structure ensures that a diverse range of student voices are heard and represented in university governance.

Executive Board Members

President

Dow White -

My name is Dow White, and I am the Student Government Association President. I seek to improve the Student Government's visibility and improve individual involvement in the shaping of our campus. I want SGA to be something students can recognize. As your president, I will focus on campus improvement initiatives and prioritize openness by hosting regular meetings where every student can have the opportunity to not only speak, but to be heard by a group that will listen. I ask for your trust so we can work together to create the best version of McKendree, a campus where every student has a seat at the table.

Vice President

Megan Melone

I enjoy helping students realize new heights in all aspects of McKendree life. I believe that Student Government is a wonderful resource for the amazing students on campus that want to excel and succeed in their education. My favorite part about government is providing funding and support to students that want to further their education and extracurriculars through academic conferences or national competitions. To be an instrumental part in making their ambitions possible is an honor and something I love to do.  As your Vice President, I will strive to be a strong leader over committees. In the next year, I hope to fund more educational trips for students like the literary society's trip to Chicago and the Hett's conference on theatre tech. I want to work with the McKendree Met Life in sponsoring their trip to Guatemala where they will learn about medicine in other parts of the world as well as assist health care workers there.
