Faculty Accomplishments

-Dr. Joy Santee published “Writer in the Attic: Place-Based Constraints on Research Writing” in the September 2014 issue of College Composition and Communication.
 
-Dr. Joy Santee received a scholarship to attend the International Writing Centers Association Summer Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, June 22-27, 2014.
 
-Dr. Brenda Boudreau and Dr. John Greenfield presented papers at the annual Pop Culture Association/American Culture Association's annual meeting in Chicago in April 2014. 
 
-Dr. Joy Santee presented “Constructions of Object Oriented Memory in Iowa’s Ethnic and Immigration Museums: Archival Objects and the Construction of Cultural and Cross-Cultural Literacies” at the Western States Rhetoric and Literacy Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, 2013.
 
-Dr. Joy Santee completed the FOCUS St. Louis Emerging Leaders Program, September-December 2013.
 
-Dr. Joy Santee received a 2013 McKendree Faculty Engagement Grant for the research project “’Make Do’ Professional Writing in the Ethnic and Immigration Museums of Iowa”
 
-Dr. Joy Santee received the Outstanding Dissertation Award in Technical Communication from the Conference on College Composition and Communication in 2012 for her dissertation Inter-institutional Collaboration and the Composition of Cartographic Texts: Mapping the Underground Railroad Bicycle Route.
 
-Dr. Joy Santee received a National Endowment for the Humanities Grant for the Mapping and Art in the Americas Summer Institute at the Newberry Library in Chicago, July-August 2010.
