Homecoming Parade Information
The Homecoming Parade is fast becoming one of our best traditions. There were over 40 student, departmental, and local entries in the Homecoming Parade last year, and we are looking to expand beyond that this year! McKendree Registered Student Organizations and other groups enter floats, cars, bands, horses and other walking groups to show off their McKendree Spirit!
The parade line-up begins at 10am. We will begin the parade at 11am. Please note the new route, due to the Lebanon Fall Festival ! It is currently pending approval. Directions of the parade route are below.
PARADE ROUTE 2014 (tentative due to Alton St. Construction):
Line-up will start at the corner of Alton and Summerfield with the first entry and continue along Alton St. and the Joseph's Church parking lot. The parade will turn right on Summerfield and then proceed west to Stanton St. The parade will follow south down Stanton St. to College Rd. Left on College Road to Alton. Right on Alton St. and follow to St. Louis St. The parade will turn left onto St. Louis St., and continue to Monroe St. Left on Monroe St. and continue north to Summerfield St. Left onto Summerfield St. back to Alton. The procession will then turn right onto Alton St. and conclude.
Parade entry forms are due to the Campus Activities Board Office, located in The Lair by Monday, October 20, 2014. For additional information about each type of entry and the forms needed to sign-up, visit the links listed below.
