Applying for Aid

The process of applying for financial aid at McKendree is simple:

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), requesting that the results are sent to McKendree.  (Our code number for this form is:  001722).  This is the same form that will be required at every other college at which you apply for financial aid.

You can complete the FAFSA electronically ( or by submitting the paper application.  It is recommended you complete the FAFSA, as soon as possible, after January 1 of the year you plan to enroll in college.  Once you have completed the FAFSA, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR), which provides each college with your expected family contribution (EFC).  This figure is used to determine your eligibility for aid.

We strongly recommend creating a file for all of your financial aid documents.  We also emphasize keeping a copy of every document you submit to either McKendree or other organizations.
