Waitlist Policy

If you wish to register for a closed class, you may choose to place yourself on a waitlist. The policy is as follows:

  • Placing yourself on a waitlist does not guarantee enrollment in the class. If you are on a waitlist, you are not officially enrolled in the class and should not attend the class.

  • Enrollment from the waitlist will be based on the order of registration.

  • If space becomes available in the course, the Academic Records Office will place you in the class and notify you via your McKendree email address.

  • If you no longer wish to be enrolled in the waitlisted course, it is your responsibility to drop the course on WebAdvisor, so be sure to carefully check your email if you have placed yourself on a waitlist.

  • If the Records Office finds there is a course conflict or you are enrolled in another section of the waitlisted course, you will receive an email with instructions. You must respond within the time frame indicated in the email or you will forfeit your spot on the waitlist.

  • If you choose to place yourself on a waitlist and you do not hear from the Office of Academic Records, you may assume the class remains full. If you need to replace the waitlisted class with another class, it is your responsibility to do so by the last day to add classes for the semester.
