Founders Week Celebration
February 20 - 24, 2023

McKendree University celebrated 195 years during Founders Week, February 20th - 24th, 2023. During the new weeklong celebration for the insitution, the McKendree community came together to recognized McKendree's historic founding and celebrating the philanthropic spirit of the loyal Bearcats who have supported the institution for nearly two centuries. Activities during the week included the annual singing of Happy Birthday to McKendree in Ames Dining Hall, faculty members sharing McKendree's philanthropic history with students in classrooms, an 1828 minute-long One McKendree Giving Day, and a Feel Good Friday in Holman Library where students, faculty and staff shared why they love McKendree.
