(LEBANON, Ill., May 11, 2021) — McKendree University recently honored two part-time associate faculty members for their commitment to outstanding teaching and student engagement. The 2021 awardees are Heather Schoenherr, an undergraduate communication instructor for 22 years; and Joan Winkelmann, an instructor in the MBA program for 12 years. Colleagues complimented her steady demeanor, leadership, adaptability and willingness to teach MBA students online and on campus when face-to-face classes resumed. She dedicates many hours before and after classes to help her students succeed and they consistently respond with favorable course reviews and admiration.
