Free Financial Aid Filing Workshop at McKendree is Open to All
Lebanon, Ill. — Need help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA)? McKendree University’s Office of Financial Aid offers a free workshop to
help college students or their parents complete the 2012-2013 FAFSA application online.
Anyone who needs help with the FAFSA can take advantage of this opportunity, no matter
which college or university they attend.
Assistance will be available on Saturday, Feb. 18, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Room
120 of the Piper Academic Center on the McKendree campus, 701 College Rd. in Lebanon.
At the session, you will be able to submit your FAFSA information online. Representatives
from McKendree’s Office of Financial Aid will be on hand to answer questions.
“We want to make sure every student gets every dollar they possibly can,” said Jim
Myers, director of financial aid at McKendree. “We’re here to promote awareness of
the FAFSA and assistance if you need it, as a service to the community. Our staff
will be on hand to guide you through the process.”
The workshop is an Illinois College Awareness and Preparation Workshop Event, as part
of “Financial Aid Awareness Month.” Participants who complete a survey may register
for a $100 gift card that students can apply to their college educational expenses.
