Shelby Summer - "Welcome to McKendree’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society page. I am a senior from Washington, IL and a member of McKendree University’s Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. I am majoring in Mathematics with a certification in Secondary Education. I am proud to be involved in a few activities here at McKendree such as McKendree Rotaract and an athlete on the McKendree Bearcat Softball team. While attending McKendree University, I have been inducted into the following honor societies: Phi Eta Sigma, Kappa Delta Pi, Pi Mu Epsilon, Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Zeta. My future goals are to teach mathematics at a high school – the location is yet to be determined, and I would love to pursue graduate school to further my education."
Jessica Hoffmann - "I major in Mathematics for the secondary education track. I grew up in Belleville and lived there my whole life, attending Althoff Catholic for high school. At McKendree, I am a member of the Lyn Huxford Center for Community service, the Women’s Soccer Team, and a tutor for the Student Success Center. Aside from Phi Kappa Phi, I’m a part of the Phi Eta Sigma, Sigma Zeta, and Pi Mu Epsilon Honor Societies. My main goal right now is to finish college, enjoy student teaching, and eventually have a classroom of my own. I can’t wait to share my love for math with my future students someday!"
