Campus Activities Work Study Employment Opportunities

Join the Campus Activities team and help bring events, recreation, and student engagement to life at McKendree University. Positions are funded through the Federal Work Study (FWS) program and offer valuable experience in customer service, leadership, and campus programming.

Requirements

    • Be a full-time McKendree student enrolled for the current semester.
    • Be available for evening and/or weekend shifts.
    • Federal Work Study (FWS) required.
    • Complete an interview.
    • Some positions have a minimum GPA requirement. 
    • If hired, complete all required onboarding paperwork and training.
    • Additional role-specific requirements may apply.

Salary

    • $15 per hour (Illinois minimum wage).

Positions

Campus Activities Event Leader - Click Here

Supports Campus Activities in planning and executing events such as late-night programs, special events, and themed activities. Responsibilities include logistics support, leading volunteers, assisting with setup and teardown, and providing on-site event coverage.

 

Lair Desk Attendant - Click Here

Serves as the primary point of contact in The Lair. Provides customer service, manages gaming and equipment check-outs, monitors the space, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students.

 

Fitness Center Custodian - Click Here

Maintains cleanliness and safety in the Fitness Center by wiping down equipment, vacuuming and sweeping, restocking supplies, monitoring for safety concerns, and ensuring the space is ready for daily use.
