Band

The band is the most visible performing ensemble on the McKendree University campus. The band performs at all home football games and select home basketball contests.

Thinking about pursuing your passion for band and color guard after high school? The band is made up of students from many different disciplines: approximately 65% majoring in areas outside music and 35% majoring or minoring in music.

College Band is NOT about preparing for competitions. It's about entertainment! Starting with your first day of band camp, you’ll be building lasting friendships with people just like you! Support the athletic teams doing what you do best and enjoy the bonding time with new friends.

ALL of the McKendree Music Department staff of private lessons instructors are active PROFESSIONAL musicians from the Greater St. Louis area. Our band scholarship guidelines are designed to encourage members to take advantage of this invaluable resource.
