McKendree University to Offer Three New Endorsements, Tuition Waivers for Educators

McKendree University will soon be adding three new education endorsements for educators. These endorsements include drivers’ education, early childhood education, and English as a Second Language (ESL). Each endorsement will be available by the Fall 2026 semester with courses in drivers’ education and early childhood education beginning this summer.

In addition, the university is providing tuition waivers for all cooperating teachers, mentors, and principals who host McKendree students as they student-teach. They will be eligible for a single course waiver, which must be utilized within one year of issue. Only 15 hours may be used per person toward a given graduate program or six hours for an endorsement, and a maximum of nine credit hours may be applied per given year. A given year consists of three consecutive semesters from the initial waiver.
