National Search is Underway for New McKendree University President

Successor to Dr. James Dennis, Who Will Retire in 2020

(LEBANON, Ill., October 8, 2019) — McKendree University is conducting a national search for a president to succeed Dr. James M. Dennis, who will retire in 2020 after 26 years of leadership. The Board of Trustees has retained Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates of Whittier, Calif., to conduct the search. Mr. John Bailey, a trustee and McKendree alumnus, chairs the Presidential Search Advisory Committee, which is composed of trustees, faculty and staff members, senior administrators, and a student representative.

McKendree stakeholders had the opportunity to offer their comments, suggestions and recommendations to the Search Advisory Committee at several “listening sessions” held throughout the day on Oct. 3 and 4.

As the search progresses, the university will continue to provide updated information on its website at mckendree.edu/presidentialsearch. Comments or questions may be directed to presidentialsearch@mckendree.edu.
