McKendree University Holds Food Drive, Donates Over 300 Items to Lebanon Food Pantry
(LEBANON, Ill., April 11, 2025) – On Thursday, April 10, McKendree University donated more than 300 items to the Lebanon Food Pantry to provide local families with the supplies they might need in time for Palm Sunday and the upcoming Easter weekend. A cash donation was also given to the pantry.
The campus community came together to hold a food drive for the pantry, filling more than 20 bags with perishable and non-perishable food items, toiletries, paper products, cleaning products, baby food, baby formula and more.
“Every donation makes an impact in someone’s life,” said the Reverend Dr. Beverely L. Wilkes-Null, university chaplain at McKendree. “I want to thank everyone in our campus community for their donations, support and generous hearts.”
