Directions
The Hett is located on the campus of McKendree University. The Hett’s physical address
is 400 N. Alton Street, Lebanon IL 62254
From St. Louis
1. Take I-64 East
2. Exit IL Rt. 4 North ( #23)
3. Turn left onto IL-4 North
4. Proceed approximately 4 miles
5 Turn left onto St. Louis St. (stoplight at top of the hill)
6. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign
7. After 3 blocks, the Hett will be on your right
Directions from Northern Illinois
1. Take I-55 South or I-57 South to I-70 West
2. Exit IL-4 South exit ( #33 from I-55 or exit #21 from I-70)
3. Turn left onto IL-4 South
4. Turn right onto St. Louis St. (stoplight at top of the hill)
5. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign
6. After 3 blocks, the Hett will be on your right
Directions from Southeast Illinois
1. Consult your map. You may need to access I-57North if you are located in the southeastern corner of Illinois
2. Take I-64 West towards St. Louis
3. Exit IL-4 ( #23)
4. Turn right onto IL-4 North to Lebanon
5. In Lebanon, proceed to flashing light at the 4-way stop
6. Turn left onto St. Louis St.
7. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign
8. After 3 blocks, the Hett will be on your right
Directions from the East
1. Take US-50 West
2. US-50 meets with St. Louis St. at the flashing light at the 4-way stop
3. Turn right onto Alton St. at stop sign
4. After 3 blocks, the Hett will be on your right
Parking
Visitors to the Hett may park in any University parking lot or on surface streets where parking is permitted.
Transportation
Metro-Link: The closest Metro-Link station is at Scott Air Force Base in Shiloh, IL.
The Metro-Link also offers bus services as well and they stop on campus five times
throughout the day. To get details about the train and bus schedule visit https://www.metrostlouis.org.
When demand for parking is expected to be high, McKendree operates a shuttle (the
Bogey Bus!) that runs between parking lots and the Hett. Call the Box Office for information
about a specific event.
Historic Lebanon
Founded in 1814, the town of Lebanon, Illinois is located just 23 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri. St. Louis Street, also known as "The Brick Street", takes you through the historic shopping district where you’ll find a mix of antique stores, quaint shops, restaurants, The Mermaid House Inn, and other businesses. In the heart of the shopping district is The Visitors Center where guests can view historic images of the town and pick up information on the many community events that take place throughout the year.
