Academy Speakers

As a speaker, teacher, and writer, Danielle has worked with young adults for over 24 years in a wide range of settings. Trained as a Diversity Awareness Facilitator, Danielle's Haitian American ethnicity gives her an unique perspective on issues of race, religion, gender and class in the United States. She is a theology teacher at Saint Louis University High School and an Adjunct Instructor at McKendree University.  A graduate of Dartmouth College, she received her MA in Theology from Aquinas Institute and her Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law. She is married to Rev. Dr. Tim Harrison, a United Methodist minister.

Tami Eggleston is a professor of psychology and the associate dean for institutional effectiveness at McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois.  Tami has been at McKendree University since 1996.  Tami was select to the American Psychological Association’s Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology (LIWP), a competitive program that recognizes and develops mid-career female psychologists. Tami is also an Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) Certified Sport Psychology Performance Consultant and on the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology registry. She regularly presents, consults, and works with colleges, high schools, businesses, and athletes on teaching, technology, assessment, teamwork, and how to simply be the best in any situation.  Dr. Eggleston has received several awards fro her teaching including the Emerson Excellence in Teaching Award and the University of Missouri St. Louis (UMSL) Teaching and Technology Award.    Her goals in teaching, presenting, or consulting are to educate, engage, and inspire.

Dr. Suzanne Stoelting holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Arts, and Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology all from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Dr. Stoelting is currently an associate professor of sociology at Lindenwood University in St. Charles and teaches a variety of courses including Social Stratification, Sport Sociology, Urban Sociology, Social Deviance and Sociology of Gender. Prior to her employment at Lindenwood, Stoelting served as an associate professor as well as the Director of Retention and the Director of the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Learning at Fontbonne University. Her areas of expertise include sport sociology, gender, and sexuality, while her current research focuses on gay and lesbian youth suicide and intersectional theory.




Sarah TetPhoto of Sarah Tetleyley is the Director of First Year Experience Program at Webster University.  She works with programs and initiatives that welcome new students to the university, which includes new student orientation, Webster 101 the new students course, and the student connection program. She also coordinates the retention programming and services that helps students stay connected to the university and persist through graduation.  She has also served as a keynote and presenter for several conferences and leadership retreats.  Her subject matter focuses on the importance of relationship development and connection.    



Photo of Bobby WasselBobby Wassel currently services as the Assistant Director for Service and Outreach with the Saint Louis University Center for Service and Community Engagement.  He has 11+ years of with college students and the community.  Before joining SLU in 2006, Bobby spent a few years as a Campus Minister at the Catholic Newman Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis,and also spent a year volunteering in Appalachia, working with the rural poor. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University, and a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration from Saint Louis University.  Bobby has presented at numerous regional and national gatherings on such topics as social change, assessment of faith and service engagement, and organizing high-quality service experiences for college students.  He currently resides in Kirkwood, MO with his wife and two children.
