Describe your career path since graduating from McKendree.

After graduating from McKendree University I have worked for the Louisville Urban League as a Job Developer/ Recruiter, University of Louisville Hospital as an Operations Supervisor, and I am currently a Human Resource Manager with the Galt House Hotel.

What impact has your degree had on your life or career?

Completing my education has increased my knowledge base, self-discipline, and my determination in completing my goals. I am an advocate for continued education and I try to motivate other to complete their education goals. In my career I believe ones’ education increases your skills and marketability.

What is the best career advice you have received?

Some of the best advice I’ve received came from my High School counselor who told me “you have success when preparation meets opportunity.” As an adult I translate his advice into: If I want to be a success I have to prepare for the opportunity. Education is definitely the best way to prepare for success.

What are your hobbies?

I am an avid reader and motorcyclist.
