Psychology Instructor

The Department of Psychology at McKendree University invites applications for a one-year, non-renewable, full-time position as a visiting Instructor of Psychology for the 2018-2019 academic year. Candidates should possess a clear record of dedication to teaching. Area of specialization is open, but candidates must be prepared to teach Biopsychology, Psychology Statistics & SPSS, and Research Methods. Responsibilities will include teaching 12 credit hours per semester, maintaining office hours, and serving as an academic advisor for approximately 25 psychology majors.

McKendree University, the oldest college in Illinois, is a private, liberal arts institution serving 2,100 undergraduate and 600 graduate students. The campus is located in Lebanon, Illinois, 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis. McKendree has been featured as a “Great College to Work For” by the Chronicle of Higher Education. The successful candidate must have college-level teaching experience and a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology or closely related field.
