Assistant Band Coach for Marching Bearcat Band Color Guard
McKendree University seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as part-time Marching
Bearcat Band Color Guard Instructor and Choreographer. Successful candidates must
have previous color guard / winter guard performance experience. The optimal candidate
will have experience instructing and choreographing color guard performances as well
as a solid understanding of how the color guard operates within a collegiate marching
band program where multiple shows are performed each year. In addition to teaching
responsibilities, the individuals selected will be responsible for maintaining regular
communication with the Director of Athletic Bands and guard members, writing and teaching
appropriate choreography, developing a solid fundamentals-based color guard program
and other duties as required to operate a successful program.
