Lecturer of Health Promotion and Wellness/Physical Education

The Division of Health Professions in the School of Nursing and Health Professions at McKendree University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track, lecturer position to serve in the Health Promotion and Wellness and Physical Education programs, beginning August, 2021. The position requires an energetic, organized, and dedicated leader to teach 15 hours of coursework per each of the Fall and Spring semesters. Participating in other service activities of the division, school, and university is optional. There are no research requirements for this position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in health, physical education, or related field
  • Three to five (3-5) years of full-time professional experience
  • Evidence of successful college teaching experience
  • Understanding of certification and licensure standards for physical education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in health, physical education, or related field
  • Teaching license or eligibility for licensure in physical education in the State of Illinois
  • Evidence of participation in professional organizations
  • Experience with curriculum design, assessment, and outcomes measurement
