Head Beach Volleyball Coach

McKendree University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference, is seeking applications for the position of Head Beach Volleyball Coach. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position located in Lebanon, Illinois.

The successful candidate will be tasked with operating all facets of the McKendree Beach Volleyball program while also overseeing the Women’s Development Volleyball Program.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides a competitive and well-rounded student-athlete experience.
  • Recruits prospective student-athletes who fit the mission and culture of McKendree University.
  • Designs and implements training and competition plans for the program.
  • Plans and hosts competitions.
  • Budget management, Fundraising and Alumni Engagement.
  • Compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional policies and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated recruiting experience.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Relationship Building/Management: with students, faculty/staff, and administration.
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of successful collegiate coaching experience preferred.
  • Competitive Volleyball experience preferred.

WORK HOURS/CONDITIONS:

  • Evenings and weekend commitments.
  • Travel will be required.
