Financial Aid Counselor

McKendree University is accepting applications for a Financial Aid Counselor position. This position is responsible for processing aid applications and counseling students and parents on all aspects of financial aid. The Financial Aid Counselor ensures compliance with federal, state, NCAA Division II, and institutional policies and regulations.

Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in a financial aid office required.

Preferred qualifications:   A comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, NCAA Division II, and institutional policies and regulations.  Knowledge of computer software systems including Microsoft Office, NSLDS, Ellucian Colleague, PowerFAIDS, and NCAA Compliance Assistant is preferred.

Candidates must also have exceptional customer service and organizational skills; strong oral and written communication skills; and the desire to work closely with a diverse student population.
