Director of Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling
The Division of Health Professions in the School of Nursing and Health Professions
at McKendree University invites applications for a tenure track position to serve
as director of the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. The
program desires an energetic, organized, dedicated leader to coordinate and grow the
program. The responsibilities of this position include teaching graduate courses in
clinical mental health counseling and participating in other activities of the division,
school and university.
Required Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology
-
Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the State of Illinois

Three to five (3-5) years of full-time professional clinical experience
-
Evidence of effective clinical counselor supervision experience
-
Understanding of certification and licensure standards for clinical mental health counseling
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Previous experience as a program director or internship supervisor

Knowledge of professional master’s program requirements for Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Evidence of participation in professional organizations
-
Evidence of scholarly interests relevant to the field of mental health counseling

Experience with curriculum design, assessment, and outcomes measurement
