Director of Institutional Research

McKendree University seeks highly-motivated and detail-oriented applicants for the Director of Institutional Research position.

Reporting to the Provost, the director will be responsible for managing the collection, storage, reporting, and dissemination of institutional data in accordance with university guidelines; submitting university responses to external surveys, including IPEDS and US News and World Report, among others; producing the annual McKendree University Fact Book; providing data analysis and reports to aid in institutional planning; producing data to assist academic units completing accreditation reports; supporting School of Education personnel with administration of LiveText; and assisting the Associate Dean for Institutional Effectiveness and the faculty with the assessment of student learning outcomes. The director will serve on the Student Learning, Assessment, and Teaching Effectiveness Committee, the Technology Advisory Committee, and other committees as appropriate.

Required qualifications include: a bachelor’s degree or higher; expertise in institutional research methods, data collection, analytics, and reporting; expertise in the use of statistical analysis software; demonstrated ability to use Access, SQL, or other database management tools; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with the higher education environment and prior experience working in an institutional research office are preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive.
