Director of Annual Giving & Advancement Services

McKendree University is seeking a highly motivated, results oriented individual to manage the comprehensive annual giving program for the University as part of the Office of Development, Alumni and Parent Relations team. 

The Director of Annual Giving and Advancement Systems is responsible for implementing and evaluating broad-based solicitation methods to increase total annual gift revenue for the University.  These methods include: Direct mail, e-communications, personal solicitation, phonathon and other creative uses of technology to increase total annual gift revenue.  Advancement Systems responsibilities included the strategic oversight of the advancement data system to include oversight of database management and statically analysis of development results.  This person is also responsible for organizing and implementing special events related to the Development Department.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and see projects through to a timely completion, have a strong knowledge of MS Office programs, and be able to work effectively in an office environment.  The individual must excel in creativity, initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities.  Strong oral and written communication skills is a must. Availability for evening and some weekend work is required. Bachelor’s degree is required. Prior annual fund experience is preferred.
