Assistant Professor of Chemistry

McKendree University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry to begin Fall 2018 at its Lebanon, Illinois campus.

McKendree University is committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Applicants should communicate their ability to contribute to this commitment. Candidates should have a background relevant to teaching physical and analytical chemistry. The ability to teach biochemistry courses is strongly desired, but not required. Candidates are expected to engage in ongoing research with undergraduates. 

The position requires a Ph.D. and prior college-level teaching experience. The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester. Involvement in curricular development within areas of expertise and general education areas is expected.

McKendree, Illinois’ oldest college, is a selective comprehensive university with a liberal arts tradition located approximately 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Salary and fringe benefits are competitive.
