Assistant Professor of Speech Communication

McKendree University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Speech Communication to begin Fall 2018 at its Lebanon, Illinois campus.

The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Preference will be given to applicants with a primary interest in teaching intercultural communication, family communication, and communication theory. Candidates are also expected to engage in undergraduate research, ongoing advisement, and program assessment. In addition, the successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching the basic communication course.

The regular teaching load is 12 hours per semester. The position requires a Ph.D. (ABD will be considered if applicant has a clear path toward completion) and prior college-level teaching experience.

McKendree University offers three degrees related to communication to include Speech Communication, Organizational Communication, and Public Relations.
