Assistant Professor of Education

The School of Education at McKendree University seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Education with expertise in Middle and/or Secondary Education. Applicants must have a terminal degree in Education or a closely related field (or ABD with a completion date before Fall 2019) with significant teaching experience in middle or secondary classrooms. Desired skills include strong pedagogical content knowledge, expertise in a content area(s), technological proficiency, and teaching methods used to support the needs of diverse populations. 

In addition to teaching, other responsibilities of the position include serving on university committees, contributing to departmental work such as program revision and development, supervising field students, and conducting research.

Preference will be given to applicants who meet the above requirements and have prior experience teaching in higher education.
