Assistant Professor of Nursing

McKendree University seeks a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the Division of Nursing to serve instructional sites in Kentucky, starting in Fall 2021.  McKendree University offers a RN to BSN program, a MSN program with nurse educator, nurse manager/administrator, and population health tracks, and a DNP program in ethical leadership.  The successful candidate will participate in all three programs.

The position requires a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field (if doctoral degree is in a related field, master’s degree must be in nursing), at least five years of clinical practice, and a current, unencumbered Kentucky and/or Illinois RN license with the willingness to secure both state nursing licenses.

Classes are taught at the McKendree University campus in Radcliff, KY, and in Kentucky area hospitals including Baptist Health Hardin, Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and others. The nursing candidate also will be responsible for teaching online. Preference will be given to candidates who have two years’ experience in nursing education and experience teaching in an online format.
