Assistant Director of Career Services

McKendree University seeks a qualified individual to provide career guidance to students and alumni in the areas of self-assessment, career exploration, internship and job search advising, and graduate school assistance, among other areas.  Candidate will also manage the internship program; teach a job search course; deliver a range of presentations to students, support marketing efforts through a variety of methods; assist with the career outcomes data collection process; and conduct other duties as assigned. 

The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and multi-tasking abilities, be very organized, and enjoy working with a variety of individuals as part of a collaborative and service-oriented team.  Technical aptitude and proficient computer skills are necessary.  Master’s degree is strongly preferred and one year of experience in student services, counseling, education, human resources, or related area is preferred.
