Director of Alumni Relations

McKendree University welcomes applications for the Director of Alumni Relations.  Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, Alumni and Parent Relations, this position is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive alumni relations program to foster and strengthen the relationship between the University and its alumni.  This position develops and implements meaningful opportunities for volunteerism, service and personal and professional development by creating events, initiatives, programs and services for all alumni constituencies while also coordinating alumni outreach with University departments in support of the strategic goals of McKendree University.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree;

  • Five (5) years of applicable experience preferably in an academic setting, is desired;

  • Strong understanding of the workings of a volunteer board and committee structure;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills and must be extremely well organized.

McKendree University is a private university located in the historic city of Lebanon, Illinois, 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis.  With a total enrollment of over 2,500 students, McKendree offers undergraduate and graduate programs on campus, online, and at off-site locations in Southern Illinois and Kentucky.
