Adjunct Faculty for World History, Early Modern Europe

McKendree University is seeking qualified individuals to teach World History survey, an upper-level course in Early Modern Europe for Fall 2021 at its Lebanon, Illinois Campus.  This position requires face-to-face, classroom teaching, thus successful candidates will need to be on campus during scheduled class periods. This is a part-time position.

A Master’s degree with at least 18 hours in history and prior teaching experience is required; a doctoral degree in History is preferred.  Qualified applicants should be able to provide instruction in a survey-level World History course to 1450 and in upper-level Early Modern Europe, 1450-1815; teach courses in traditional and/or online formats; hold scheduled office hours; conduct evaluation of student learning; and maintain appropriate documentation.

McKendree University is a private university located in the historic city of Lebanon, Illinois, 25 minutes from downtown St. Louis.  With a total enrollment of over 2,500 students, McKendree offers undergraduate and graduate programs on campus, online, and at off-site locations in Southern Illinois and Kentucky.
