Academic Records Coordinator

McKendree University welcomes applications for the position of Academic Records Coordinator in the Office of Academic Records. This is a full-time administrative position located in Lebanon, Illinois. 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the recording and management of student records by entering and maintaining student registrations in the electronic database and assisting students to register using Self Service.
  • Process student requests using the student database including, but not limited to, class schedules, enrollment verifications/certifications, name/address changes, advisor changes, degree applications and transcripts.
  • Assist Transfer Coordinator/Program Evaluator with entering transfer credit, completing Academic Records portion of forms, and checking equivalency for applications for transfer credit.
  • Assist with data input and changes as instructed by the Registrar, including, but not limited, to registration, registration holds and degrees.
  • Provide service to in-person inquiries and incoming telephone calls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Creativity, initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude of teamwork and appreciation of service to others.
  • Dedication to customer service.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a Registrar’s or Records Office at a college or university.
  • Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague software and transcript software.
