New Hall West Staff

The Area Coordinator is a full-time student affairs professional who lives and works in the building. This position is responsible for the overall operation of the building. The Area Coordinator supervises the building staff, advises Hall Council, and assists students and staff in coordinating programs and activities. The Area Coordinator also serves as a resource for students who are experiencing problems.

Area Coordinator

Resident Assistants are carefully selected full-time undergraduate students who live and work on each residence hall floor. Resident Assistants plan activities and programs for the floor community, enforce school policy, conduct monthly health and safety inspections, and report needed repairs. Resident Assistants are also good resources for students who are experiencing personal difficulties, since Resident Assistants are aware of campus services.

The Community Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Resident Assistants in developing a positive learning community throughout the building. The Community Coordinator is also responsible for mail delivery, Hall Council, and large scale programming.
