McKendree West, like all of the residence halls, has a staff member designated as "on-duty" each night.  This person does nightly rounds in order to ensure the security of the residence hall.  They carry a cell phone, that has the number posted throughout the building, in case of emergencies.  There is also a Resident Director "on-duty" each night for the campus.  The Resident Assistant knows how to contact the Resident Director in case of an emergency.
