Meet Your Senators

We as a collective group are here to be the voice of the student body and strive to make McKendree University a better place for both faculty and staff. We hope to Leave our Mark at McKendree for years to come and bring out a positive change here on campus.  

Executive Board

President

Darren Meeker, Senior

Major: Speech Communication & Sociology

Goals: To rededicate SGA. Darren wants to make this year a year for the students and set a firm foundation for years to follow.

 

 

Vice President

Cody Rhymer, Junior

Major: Athletic Training

Goals: Cody will provide a voice for the students and represent them as best and efficiently as possible and will make a change on campus. If he could fix anything, he would like to update the washer and dryers in the old dorms.

Secretary

Mary Mckee, Junior

Major: Athletic Training
Goals: Mary hope to get an Ames Food Committee organized.

Treasurer

C.J Clarizio, Junior

Major: Athletic Training

Goals: C.J.  would like to represent the Junior class to the best of his ability by hearing different students' thoughts about how to make McKendree a better school, a school for the students.

 

Student Counselor

Jessica Tieman, Senior
Major: History & English Literature
Goals: Jessica wants to have greater academic opportunities at McKendree and a more environmentally sustainable campus. Most importantly, she wants to redevelop the SGA constitution to better allocate funds and make decisions that reflect the mission of the university.

Jonathan Becker

Major: Athletic Training
Goals: Jon wants to improve residence life for students and bring the West community together with the campus community and better the menu selection for Ames dining hall and the hours for 1828 cafe.

Julianna Swanson
Major: Psychology
Goal: Julianna strives to provide a positive middle passage between students and campus issues.

 

Ben Pollard

Major: International Relations & History
Goals:  Ben believes we need reform in Student Government for clearer communication with the student body.  He would like to see holes in the constitution fixed, transparency issues corrected, and a boost in student body interest.

Major: Business Administration and Management
  Goals: Arie strives to listen to the needs of the Junior class and make their voice heard in student government.

Tre' Jones

Major: Criminal Justice.
Goal: Tre' hopes to earn overall respect and trust from student and faculty.

Major: International Relations
Goal: Taryn hopes to improve SGA interactions with other student groups and help students really get involved with everything going on campus.

Goals: Olivia wants to make students to feel like McKendree is there home and not just the place where they go to school and help on-campus living problems.

Brady Page

Goals: Brady wants to help communicate comments and feedback to the Student Government to satisfy the needs of the student body.

 

 

Christin Austin

Major: Political Science

Goals: Christin's goals for Student Government? Simple. She plans to be the voice. The voice for each and every individual McKendree student. She would like to see our school be the best that it can be and by listening to her peers' concerns, needs, and wants, She feels that together we can make this happen. This whole experience really isn't about her, she says, but instead it's about us. How can she serve you? Help her help you and together we can "Make Our Mark" on McKendree University.
