Weekly Volunteer Opportunities
YOU can MAKE A DIFFERENCE in someone's life TODAY!
Get Involved!
Students go to Cornerstone Farms for a program with special needs children in St.
Claire County. Students will work with children as they develop skills and train with
horses. BRING A PAIR OF OLD SHOES OR BOOTS, NO FLIP FLOPS!
In both programs, students go to the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis.
Students socialize with the children. The program is a great way to make new friends
that you otherwise would never meet, and to make a difference in the lives of East
St. Louis children.
Students socialize with the residents and have a lot of fun at this nursing home!
Franklin Tutoring/Arts & Crafts
Franklin Neighborhood Association is a community outreach program. McKendree volunteers
make arts and crafts in an after school program for grade school children in Belleville
once a week.
Students play games with the residents. It is a great way to make new friends at
this local nursing home.
The Family Living Center in East St. Louis provides emergency housing for homeless
families. Students go to the shelter to play with children so that the parents can
have some time to themselves.
Pentecostal Power Church After-School Tutoring
Pentecostal Power Church hosts an after-school program for children in Lebanon of
ages five through ten. Volunteers interact with the children by reading books with
them, helping them with their homework, and coloring with them.
McKendree volunteers visit Stray Rescue each week to help walk dogs, do laundry, housekeeping,
and other tasks to assist this wonderful no-kill organization for animals in St. Louis.
TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED FOR ALL WEEKLY PROGRAMS! MEET AT BOOKSTORE STEPS!
Pick up a log form to track your volunteer hours from the CPS Office, CAR 110!
