Every aspect of our lives is influenced by the computer. Today and beyond, it is the responsibility of each individual to gain the skills and knowledge to be an intelligent user of various types of computer hardware and software. The Computer Science (CS) and Computer Information Systems (CIS) programs offer a broad range of courses from the most basic personal computer fundamentals to advanced systems. Students who pursue the Computer Information Systems degree have supplementary requirements in the area of business administration and study the programming of business applications.  Students pursuing this degree would likely seek employment opportunities writing programs for financial analysis, accounting, data processing, and office automation for business and government.
