The major in Accounting enables students to become proficient at using the accounting model. Emphasis is placed on developing the statement of financial position, the income statement, the statement of changes in owner's equity, and the cash flow statement. Students will learn how to make decisions about the presentation of financial data, the analysis of managerial and cost data, auditing and the reliability of data, and the preparation of personal and simple business tax returns.
