Academic Scholarships
Scholarships valued at $10,000 per year to two outstanding students from every community college in Illinois. ($8,500 transfer/ $1,500 PTK)
o State of Illinois resident
o 3.6 or higher GPA
o Complete the equivalent of four semesters at the community college
o Be a member of Phi Theta Kappa
Illinois Community College Scholarship
Scholarships valued at $9,000 per year
o State of Illinois resident
o Complete the equivalent of four semesters at the community college
o 3.0 or higher GPA
o Must be an on-campus resident at McKendree
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
All PTK members who enroll at McKendree will receive a $1,500 PTK scholarship upon receipt of copy of membership card.
Transfer Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded automatically at the time of the admission decision. No application is
necessary. These awards vary in amount up to $4,000 per year and are renewable with a 2.8 GPA
and full-time status.
o 4.00-3.75 qualify for $4,000 annually
o 3.74-3.50 qualify for $3,000 annually
o 3.49-3.25 qualify for $2,500 annually
o 3.24-3.00 qualify for $2,000 annually
o 2.99-2.75 qualify for $1,500 annually
