Master of Science in Nursing
The graduate program in nursing is designed for working nurses who are interested in the master’s degree to further careers in nursing education or nursing management/administration. Students benefit from the small classroom size and personalized attention by faculty that is committed to providing excellent course and clinical experiences. Coursework includes individual and group work, written assignment, oral presentations, and clinicals.
The McKendree MSN program is designed for nurses who work full-time. Classes are offered in two options: one evening a week or every other weekend. Some classes are offered online. Current sites are located at Southwestern Illinois College – Belleville, Kaskaskia College – Centralia, John A Logan College – Carterville, or at Alton Memorial Hospital – Alton. While the program does not require a thesis, all students must complete a directed research project. Both tracks may be completed in five semesters.
