Director of Information Technology Hosts Regional Webinar
McKendree University's Director of Information Technology, George Kriss presented a webinar sponsored by the St. Louis Instructional Designers and Technologists group. This organization is comprised of faculty and staff from St. Louis-area higher educational institutions who converse and collaborate regarding the best practices of using technology in education. The webinar, “Tips & Tricks for Staying Productive,” was presented in partnership with Maryville University.
Four Technology Collaboration Tables Encourage Student Communication
McKendree University has four state-of-the-art technology collaboration tables installed across the campus. These tables help students communicate and exchange ideas in shared spaces. To support creative teamwork, students can share their laptop screens on a large television screen. The tables enable to students to jump from computer to computer at the push of a button. All members at the table can see the computer screen via the large television screen.
Vice President of Research, Planning, and Technology Named to State Committee
Mary Bornheimer, McKendree University's Vice President of Research, Planning, and Technology, has been named to the State of Illinois' Illinois P-20 Council: Finance and Governance Committee. The goal of the committee is to identify the fundamental and core problematic elements of finance and governance in Illinois education and recommend research-based, practical and proven solutions.
