Preview of Champions - October 1, 2016
The Marching Bearcat Band hosts and is the featured performing ensemble at McKendree University's Preview of Champions Marching Band Competition, one of the largest independent high school marching band competitions in the St. Louis area!
This event is fueled by the efforts of our wonderful volunteers and MBB members. A special THANK YOU to all of you that made this day a success!
Event Ticket Information
$8 – Adults 14 and up (includes program)
$6 – Children ages 7-13 (does not include program)
Free – Children 6 and under
All tickets will be sold at the main entrance to Leemon Field.
Vendor stands from Dairy Queen, Chick-fil-a, Schiappa's Pizza and D&T's Ol Fashion Kettle Korn with drinks, snacks and a variety of foods will be available during the entire show at a very reasonable price. All proceeds will help fund the McKendree University Athletic Bands Department and our "Music in Our Schools" programs. We thank you in advance for your support!
Information for Participating Directors
We offer following amenities for attending bands:
Lighted Game Day Turf Field
Bands perform based on number of instrumentalists
Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each class and Grand Champion Award
Caption awards to include: Outstanding Percussion, Color Guard, Visual Presentation, and Wind Performance
Video review immediately after each bands' performance
Clinician comments immediately after each band's performance
Indoor Director and Staff hospitality room overlooking the field
Concessions will be available for purchase
Step #1 – Complete a registration form
Step #2 – Turn in a payment request to your Business Office or Principal
Step #3 - Please contact your principal or business office to secure a Certificate of Insurance listing McKendree University as an additional insured for the 2015-2016 academic year. You may either e-mail this form to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax it to (618) 537-6570 to the attention of David Boggs. This process is required for you to complete due to the policy of our institution. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this process. Thanks!
Step #4 – Verify your final numbers in the marching band (this information will be e-mailed to you approximately one month prior to the show).
Step #5 - Following your final show information confirmation email with McK, please return the attached "Clinician Information Form" at some point during the week before show.
