The Marching Bearcat Band (MBB) is the most visible performing ensemble on the McKendree
University campus. MBB performs at all home football games, is the host and featured
performing ensemble at our Preview of Champions Marching Band Competition, and is
the sponsor of Drum Corps International’s DCI St. Louis show.
Each fall, the band wraps up their season with a staged and specially lighted concert in the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts. The show highlights music and choreography performed during the season and features the PomCats Dance Team and the entire Marching Bearcat Band!
Thinking about pursuing your passion for band and color guard after high school? The MBB is made up of students from many different disciplines: approximately 50% majoring in areas outside music, 25% majoring in music and 25% minoring in music.
