Borrowing and Lending
The Public Services Librarian, Jennifer Funk, is responsible for overseeing the Circulation Department including Loan Periods, Overdue materials, Fines, and Renewals. She can be contacted by phone at (618)537-6515 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Instruction sessions are available to classes , both onsite and online using our virtual instruction space. If you would like to schedule an instruction, please contact Rebecca Schreiner at email@example.com.
Services and Policies can be located here: Interlibrary Loan Services / Policies.
The types of reserve services available are traditional (print) and electronic (e-reserves).
Instructors can put library materials including reference books, DVDs and personal copies of their books on reserve to make library resources more accessible to their specific classes. Please submit requests as early as possible to avoid delays, especially since we receive most of the reserve requests in the first week of classes.
You can use the attached form or ask for the form at the circulation desk to be submitted along with the materials to be put on reserve. If you have any questions, please contact Jennifer Funk, Public Services Librarian, via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or call (618) 537-6515.
Reserves are available as an option to all faculty members who wish to make their readings or documents available in an electronic format for their classes. Jennifer Funk can scan documents into PDF files for use in BlackBoard. Please contact Jennifer at email@example.com or call (618) 537-69515.
If your instructor has put materials on reserve, it would mean that you and your classmates will have access to these materials for shorter loan periods without the need for you to buy the book. If you have any questions regarding Reserves Services, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (618) 537-6950.
There will be overdue fines associated with reserve and Texbook Center materials. Overdue fees are $1 per unit overdue (for example, an item with a two-hour check out will have a late fee of $1 every two hours it is late. An overnight item will have $1 late fee for every night it is late.)
