By providing comprehensive resources and services, Holman Library supports McKendree
University’s mission to provide a high quality education, encourage openness to new
ideas and dedication to lifelong learning.
Holman Library, via our website www.mckendree.edu/library, provides access to research and online instructional resources 24 hours a day from
offices, homes, and residence halls. I-Share, our online catalog, provides you access
not only to the holdings of Holman Library but also 76 major academic libraries in
Illinois. Through I-Share, more than 35 million items are available to our campus
community through online requests and delivered via courier services. Reference librarians
assist learners both face-to-face and virtually on the use of effective and efficient
strategies to explore and use information to gain knowledge, deepen understanding,
and solve complex problems.
The Holman Library faculty and staff are dedicated to providing you with the information-seeking
skills you will need in today’s world and to support higher education’s goal of developing
